The perfect bookmark

My wife bought some pillows for our couch and cut off all the labels.
Before she could throw them away, I grabbed one without really looking at
it--just because it was the right size and shape--to mark my place in the
book I was reading. When I returned to the book, this is what I saw
sticking up from the top of the book: UNDER PENALTY OF LAW THIS TAG NOT TO
BE REMOVED EXCEPT BY THE CONSUMER.
