woodcut scans
I have a couple of old books which have
woodcuts that I'd like to scan or digitize. Unfortunately, being old books, they're fragile enough that a flat-bed scanner won't work: the spines would crack in an instant. What's the best way to get those images into my computer, short of dismembering the books? (Hand-held scanners are not an option; the only ones I've seen for sale seem to be OCR/text readers, rather than image-producers.) Ted |

Have one person carefully open the book and hold it in a position that
enables you to take a picture from a digital camera. |
