Just a tad peculiar
The personalized stamps should be divided into at least two categories:
- the generic ones issued by the Post Office to please themselves and/or the collectors who believe they are buying the authentic personalized stamps... - the real personalized stamps ordered by you and me with our grandchildren on it or our pussycat; or the societies and companies with their logos etc. Both categories may have had completely different print technical methods used for them; the separate methods may be distinguished by the specialists without having to bother about all the different pictures applied to them. Listings of these subcategories should find their way to the catalogues.... The "Sand Dunes" have got nothing to do with this. Although, not facing the impact personalized stamps have upon modern philately is really hiding your head in the sand groetjes, Rein Op Thu, 01 Jan 2009 18:14:15 +0100 schreef Sir F. A. Did Scott do this or the South Korea Post? Ralphael, the OLD one Since they're 'personalized' scutt would have had to order, thus they would have been personalized for them. Doubtful that another 'customer' would have sent their purchase. Frankly, the catalogues should adopt a big red "X" for the personalized section to indicate that nearly ever sheet will be different and no 'collector' could ever get a 'set'. Further, perhaps these deserve 'mention' only and not be listed, as done with the various arab "Sand Dunes". -- Gemaakt met Opera's revolutionaire e-mailprogramma: http://www.opera.com/mail/ |
