Default a "modern" 8-track deck- discussion redux

Looking for opinions and ideas on a "modern" 8-track deck.

Marketability ?

Price range ?

They seem to be selling these antique looking all-in-one stereos lately
for around $100 each pretty well...am/fm/cassette/phono/CD including
mono needle/78 speed for the old shellac records

Why not an 8-track deck ?

Some nice options would be- variable speed control w/strobe for exact
3.75 IPS setting- external adjustment thumbwheels for head
height/azimuth, and a full compliment of auto
stop-ff-pause-eject-repeat

An AC motor drive would be mandatory- and a gear drive preferred.

Titanium capstan.

Made in Japan or USA- not China.

Any other ideas ?
