An excellent book for Deutsches Reich collectors
The superb 'The Stamps of Germany Third Reich' was published in 1966 ,
(author Alf Harper & W. Scheck), which has been out of print for a while. It has 183p and loads of info on every Stamp of the Third Reich - background, designer, history of the subject, quantity issued, etc. Also it's in English. Anyway it seems a PDF version of this book is downloadable on e-Mule/e-Donkey. I think it's linked to other P2P sharers but don't know which, if you use one try searching for the title. It's thoroughly recommended and as it's been out of print for over 35 years I don't see that anyone downloading it would fall foul of any copyright issues. Unfortunately at 233 Mb it's too large to email! I could put it on CD for anyone struggling with P2P. -- Steve Frazer http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve_frazer/index.html (updated Mar 17 '05) |

In the case of a joint authorship, both hold the right as tenants in common which means that the survivor takes all. Thus the copyright would not expire until more than 70 years after the death of the survivor. Such rights form part of a deceased's estate and devolve in accordance with his will or intestacy. The length of time a work is in or out of print does not affect the matter. Douglas |

There are still copies of it out there in one-off brick and mortar book shops, but their numbers are dwindling. ======================= Tracy Barber ----------------------- adirondack-pc ----------------------- "Freebie Stamp Project" ======================= |

I noticed some bod is selling the same pdf file for $15 on eBay, and it's far preferable to give the pdf file away than for someone who's not the author to make $14.90 profit from a book he has contributed nothing towards. -- Steve Frazer http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve_frazer/index.html (updated Mar 17 '05) |

Different book! The 183 page 1966 edition is nowhere
near as comprehensive as the 361 page 1998 edition published by Album Publishing Co. I've seen this sell anywhere from $40 to $150. And as we speak, someone in the UK is working on an updated/corrected version. Jay Carrigan chnage domain to mchsi www.jaypex.com In article , says... snip ... It would have to go to his heirs. Harper has slipped this mortal coil a while back. The book may actually be resurrected for another copy, but the details are vague at the moment. As per selling books on eBay, very few of those sold are giving the respective author any royalties. If someone is selling the pdf file, they are in violation of the copyright laws, unless they have permission / license. If anyone is playing with the pdf file, I agree that no charge should be made for it if it were to be passed around... ======================= Tracy Barber ----------------------- adirondack-pc ----------------------- "Freebie Stamp Project" ======================= |

e-Mule appears to be a wonderful source of pornography but not much there on
stamps. Even the software download page has naked women on it (not that I'm complaining...) -- Cheers - John Mycroft coryton_at_cobbsmill_dot_com "Steve Frazer" wrote in message ... An excellent book for Deutsches Reich collectors
Could the original poster kindly provide an address, with cost,
for a copy CD? Many thanks On Mon, 2 May 2005 13:20:18 +0100, "Steve Frazer" wrote: The superb 'The Stamps of Germany Third Reich' was published in 1966 , (author Alf Harper & W.
