US postmark query.
Is anyone aware of a link that deals with US Postmarks?
In particular, I am chasing the meanings and varieties of "footprint" (I think that's what they are referred to) cancels. For example, "P", "RMS" "Ferry" "Air Mail" and the like. Thanks. |

Thanks very much Jay, that was very helpful, I also learnt a recent 1908 Franklin I had catalogued as ("possibly stationery"), was in fact my first known example of a US imperf of that era.
