US postmark query.
Is anyone aware of a link that deals with US Postmarks?
In particular, I am chasing the meanings and varieties of "footprint" (I think that's what they are referred to) cancels. For example, "P", "RMS" "Ferry" "Air Mail" and the like. Thanks.

Thanks very much Jay, that was very helpful, I also learnt a recent 1908 Franklin I had catalogued as ("possibly stationery"), was in fact my first known example of a US imperf of that era.
