Default British Library Request

I have been contacted by the British Library in regard to a book I'm selling
on ebay. They have requested that I remove it from auction so that they can
view the book with a option to buy for their collection. Being a greedy cow
I asked them what they would be prepared to pay for it. They say they don't
discuss prices without first examining the book. So being a loyal British
subject, and after much soul searching, I told them to get stuffed.

Well from what I can see of your offerings, I don't think there's
going to be any great loss to the nation somehow.

The book in question wasn't the 1975 biography of Sophia Loren
by any chance, was it?

Funny you should say that Michael, I thought they would be after that one,
or the book about radio valves. In fact it seems "The Hackney Coach
Directory" got them all excited, they should get out more.

Don't knock it. Every little bit helps.

Although a real cynic might think you were just spamming.

Hi Diane,

I wonder what has got them excited about this - they already have a copy
according to their website! Was it definately the BL and not a fraud?

Cheers,

Tom L-M

Loyal British subject or no, this was interference in an eBay auction,
you should report them and see that they're banned from eBay.
