I'm Back
Hi Guys,
I finally got my computer back, so I'm back. I really hosed the software. The local guru shop reloaded everything and made sure everything was working. At the same time I had more memory put in and Windows upgraded. I am finally caving in and getting DSL since my friend gives giving me grief over dial-up. Jerry B |

I'm Back
Hi Rien,
Actually it is $5 cheaper than the Dial Up. It is AT&T DSL and because we have local and international phone service with them we get a big discount. I do have to pay for a modem however. What is noce is the AT&T Dial-Up service I am now using is a backup to the DSL. So if DSL is not available, I can always use the Dial-Up. Jerry B |

I'm Back
G'day Jerry,
welcome back, look forward to your contributions again DSL Wow, now you will be able to download some of my huge images I never regretted the change, the extra payment is worth the trip in my view. Just a tip for perhaps the less fortunate's out there, it may be worth checking your welfare centre for IT offerings, I noticed last week, our Western Australian Centrelink welfare office was offering fully regenerated Computers complete for $250 in home. Jerry B Well, yes, if you're with All Test and Trouble. It's like AOL, maximum fees for minimum service. Hey, don't knock AOL. you are sounding like that OLD Tracy Barber. (I still hate his guts.) AOL costs me nothing, nada, zero, zilch and that also applies to the service I get. They also keep tweaking the web page which puts mu yndies in a wad. Ralphael, the OLD one Dial Up for the masses [in the US] is $8.95 a month - unlimited use and GigaNews thrown in! |
