I am writing about the wreath cent that you have listed on amazon.com.
Your comments read that it is hand-made with care, etc., but the
pictured shows a slabbed, cleaned 1793 wreath cent. Is this coin what
is for sale or is the picture and title in error?

Anita

I knew it was too good to be true. If anyone chanced a bid, I hope you
enjoy your new Christmas wreath.

Anita....I must have been the other person who inquired...here was my
question and her response:

Q: Hi...is this actually what you're selling, a Wreath Cent in an
ANACS holder?

thanks in advance,

...Tom

A: i sell xmas wreaths or a wreath you can use everyday, either on
your door or over your fireplace

I didn't reply with the obvious follow-up question, something like:
"whatever possessed you to try to advertise Christmas wreaths by using
a picture and description of a valuable U.S. coin?"

It could have been me. I also emailed her.

Maybe she just GIS'd for "wreath" and randomly took something that
popped up.

More likely, I'm guessing it's some kind of glitch in amazon's matrix.
She mentioned to me that she hadn't uploaded any pictures, so amazon
must have parsed "wreath" out of her description and matched it with a
picture they already had on file.

I'm sure she makes quite lovely wreaths, so I don't think George D will
be too unhappy with his purchase.

I will post a picture when I get it. Should be the first of the week sometime.
