Rowe R-86 Question

I have a R-86 that was set to free play. It will now only work in
continuious mode. The key pad was working and the record number
displays while playing. The system comes up to selection 100 and
flashes, but can not enter a selection. I am guessing that the problem
is with the central computer. Hope some one has a fix or a lead.

any weird stuff like this (assuming all switches are ok and wiring
good etc) is almost always the 5101 CMOS ram (or both of them).

check the battery in the CCC
