Default Service Tech's Manual for a Firebird II

Does anyone know where to get a service tech's manual for a NSM
Firebird II. Looking for one to help resolve error codes and other
issues?

Code 73 - "Error during replacing in left side magazine. Malfunction
of left grip lever."

Corrections - " Check alignment of magazine to pickup assy. and adjust
if needed. Check function of grip. Check function of light barrier
OPGRL.."

I'll check and see if we have any manuals and get back to you.

"*Check function of light barrier
OPGRL.."

Could you put that in Newbie terms?

Sorry about the confusion. I just did a quick reply from what was
written in the troubleshooting charts of the NSM manual. We have an
NSM ES V Service manual which covers the Firebird II and similar
models. This manual does not have the specific parts list or complete
schematic breakdowns. If you're in the US and would like I could send
it to you for $10.00 shipped USPS Priority Mail.

As for the OPGRL, it is the light sensor for the left hand gripping
mechanism, the unit that pulls out the CD from the left side and
places it on the player. There are 5 different sensors that control
the left and right sides.

If you could do the following and let me know what happens, I can try
and walk you through the testing sequence to see where the problem may
lie.

1. Power on the box
2. Open the cabinet door
3. Pull out the service switch (upper right side of cabinet)
4. The display should read the following; P010 1 xxxx
5. Now punch in "157 H". The middle 2 digits on the display should
read "F8"
6. Press the 0 key, and the CD selection unit should move down to the
CD player.

At this point is what I need for you to let me know what is on the
display. We can go from here once I know and can look up the codes.
Sorry I can't give you a quick answer, but it's been some time that we
had these boxes, as we have upgraded all the CDs to download models.

The selection didn't move stayed on the player where it originally
was, the code on the display was:
101 F8 00. Thanks for the help.
