He died in 1977. I was only 7 years old at the time, but I still remember
the shock and anquish from that day. I would rank it up there with news of a president or world leader dying in magnitude -- Mike Gummby3 ~~ Star Collector ~~ www.star-collector.net Autograph Authentication Guide www.star-collector.net/authenticationguide.htm "Barefootmk" wrote in message ... what year did elvis die? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. On August 16, 1977 an unconscious Elvis Presley was found at Graceland, his
Memphis mansion and subsequently he was rushed to Baptist Memorial Hospital at around 3 p.m. Despite efforts to revive him, Elvis Presley was pronounced dead. At a press conference that evening, medical examiner Dr. Jerry Francisco indicates that the cause of death appeared to be "cardiac arrhythmia," noting that, "There was severe cardiovascular disease present." He was 42 years old. Helpfull Den |

my point in asking was...sharpie wasn't wholly available in every store till
78...so even though that means someone had time to get one to get an album signed...they probably didn't think like that then...and one of the elvis signatures that i saw in the guys feedback was in blue...blue sharpie wasn't availbe for a few years after that... i did look all this up last night after i posed the question not really knowing the answer myself (you were right whoever you are) but after further investigation- i don't think there are too many sharpie autographed items out there from the seventies at all...and not in blue...so i think- even though i was being very sarcastic in asking these questions- i think i really got my point across... |
