Interesting commentary on the back of an auction catalogue.

Sir Rodney,
It is supply and demand thing. Used postage demand is high and supply
is very low due to people not using the mails.

For modern material perhaps Ralphael,
but I had the feeling this was the intermediate stuff.
I have always noticed US material here always has bidders,
no matter what grade, I assume it is the simple fact that the US catalogue
is more easily achieved than most countries, and when you have a
growing collection, then you tend to spend more time / money on that
country.
Perhaps another blessing I collect used.

Methinks he is just touting the collection he has just bought and is
now trying to sell. While big ticket auction firms will usually not
have them, the smaller ones almost always have collections,
accumulations, and postage lots of U.S. on offer. My experience is
that these usually sell at either a percentage of face value or deeply
discounted catalogue value.
