Default Harcourt First editon/Printing?

"John A. Stovall" wrote...
I just picked up a "First Edition" of the U.S. Harcourt printing of _A
Small Death in Lisbon_ by Robert Wilson. I think it is not a first
printing for under the "First U.S. Edition" is a letter line "G I K J
H F" . Am I correct in assuming this is the 6th printing?

Exactly right. Hmmm--now that Random House has regularized its number lines
to begin with 1, like everyone else, I wonder if the time is far off when
Harcourt will switch from letters to numbers?
