German Doll
My wife has a baby doll that was mother's. It's about 18 inches long,
has light blueish (or blue-gray) eyes that open and close. The eyes are almond shaped (not round like all the pictures I have found). The mouth is open and four teeth and the tongue are visible. It has blonde hair. The head, arms (at shoulders), and legs (at hips) swivel. On the back of the head is marked Made in Germany (in script). Under this is 152, and under 152 is 10. Does the 10 mean 1910? In searching google I find more than one manufacturer that has used 152, and none of the Kestner dolls that I saw pictures of are of this doll. Can someone please identify this doll by year, manufacturer, name, etc? Thanks, George |
