Warning To those Abusing the News Group
Sergio Lugo wrote:
Why all the recent abuse...someone get spanked by your ISP? That must be the reason for all the off topic abuse. When you say you refuse to follow the rules and post all these dirty pictures and off topic stuff tells you that you are either children that really are not being supervised properly or insane. It all seems to be led by this Larex person, I understand she posted her phone number here? Perhaps that need to be traced down to her local police or mental health providers. Courts have justifiably ruled time and again that the owners of an ISP have the right to cancell the service of those who do not play by the rules. The same goes for off-topic postings to news groups. Those netizens of a particular news group DO have the right to complain to your ISP if you insist on violating the charter. Do you think you have the right to post whatever you want??? YOU DO NOT!!!! This is why news groups have charters and everyone is expected to abide by them or face possible cancellation of their posts and/or complaints to their ISP. This is why there is such a thing as "netiquette" - there is even a RFC for proper netiquette: http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1855.html. You see, if people were allowed to start cluttering news groups with off-topic posts and spam, then the group becomes useless for those seeking on-topic posts and information. Messages posted to news groups MUST COMPLY with the WRITTEN CHARTERS or FAQs for those news groups. Advertisements, solicitations, or other commercial messages should be posted only in those news groups whose charters or FAQs explicitly permit them. YOU ARE REPSONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING THE POLICIES OF A GIVEN NEWS GROUP BEFORE POSTING TO IT. As they used to say in 'Nam, "There it is". If you want "free speech", then petition usenet for a group of your own. Make up a charter of your own, proclaiming that anyone may post anything. That way YOU can post whatever YOU want, and let others spam all over it and post nonsense. Sorry, but you don't have the "free speech" rights here that you seem to believe you do, not only because the charter says so, but also because your ISP does too. We WILL start making phone calls next week to ISPs We WILL remove you from this news group Do not feed the trolls. JAM |

A typical bunch of needle-dicks. |
