Default I Apologize....

For my repetitive behavior, but I keep losing the messages I get from
other people and I have to ask the questions again.

Why is this happening? Do you have your newsreader set to delete messages
that you have read? If you are using Outlook Express, check
Tools-Options-Maintenance and have a look at which boxes are checked. If
not, maybe someone else on rcc can help.

Joey, you could also do a 1-month Google Groups search on this group for
all messages with your name as the author. Then read each thread
through Google.

But I agree also with James, the first thing you want to do is enable
your news reader to show you the old messages as well as the new ones.
In my (ancient) reader, it's very simple: Options/Show All Messages.
HTH.

You're new to newsgroups, right? ;-)

With Outlook Express, select:

View Current View Show Replies to my Messages

You will see all your questions, and all the responses. Very handy to
keep track of responses to your questions.

If you're still not seeing responses to your posts, it probably means
your news server is kinda sucky. Send complaints with full information
to or set up an account with a news server that
doesn't drop posts, such as the one at
http://www.individual.net.
