Default Rowe MM-6 Photo View Connector

On my MM-6 I have a photovue female plug mounted on the right back by the dollar bill plug etc. It is a 6 hole female socket. Plugged into it is a 9 pin male plug ( actually only 8 pins in it). I got the machine with it plugged in and it causes a loud hum even with the amp not plugged in unless it is unplugged. When it is unplugged the select button lock relay does not work. I have a manual on order but don't know what is up with the 9 pin 6 hole thing.

Any thoughts? Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken,

It could be a dummy plug that replaces a bonus relay.

Regards
Alan
