Default Nice Russian coin on e-fake

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...84328 33&rd=1

This has some of the worst lettering ever seen on a fake. The seller was
notified but ignored
the message.

I got an acknowledgement back from fleaBay that they are "investigating",
in other words don't put your hand on your bum. Now the item is up to
$102.50, with probably a much higher proxy bid from an Auzzie bidder.

Thanks for the assist. I also wrote ebay about this piece and got the
standard canned
response. About a month ago I did the same, with the same results - ebay
did nothing.
There are currently 3 more fakes on ebay, as follows:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...87156 26&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...86717 28&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=39286717 28

In all three cases the seller was notified that the pieces are false but
did nothing. The seller
of the 1718 two roubles, however, replied that if I think the piece is a
fake, then do not bid!

No kidding. The lettering (pyat kopeki/yekaterinburg) looks like one of those
ransom notes with letters cut & pasted from a newspaper.

I saw some fakes for sale in Ukraine a few years ago, some of them are lousy
as you describe, however some are very well executed. As best as I could
get out of the sellers they originated in Russia. I saw some fake Russian
plate money for sale in Khabarovsk(Russian Far East) back in 1991.
