At least the banks in your area have half Dollars. I recently went to 5
banks here in San Diego and was told "We don't order any half dollars here"
Funny aint it? Just another reason to return to the mid west.

midwest? i'm in mojave about 200 miles from you.

I can get all the halves I want here in the Midwest, but Ike Dollar coins
and $2 bills are getting a bit scarce.

I was just totally shocked a couple days back when a gas station cashier
gave me an '82 Kennedy back for change. I don't even remember the last time
that happened. I was tempted to raise a stink about getting some fake
money--I should have demanded to see the manager or something ;-)
