If you read this, raise your hand. Philatelic interests.

Who is still reading the postings here? Please fill up the list, eventually mentioning your philatelic interests, this even if you are an occasional visitor. Many thanks in advance. I too am still here, but until Rodney gets a new dumpster, there will be few, if any, questions easy enough for me to answer. I collect everything, as I can't bear to throw anything away. There are "where has everybody gone?" complaints on many Usenet groups. It is ironic that the replacement seems to be a conglomeration of fora run by ISPs, companies, and private individuals that Usenet was presumably intended to combine in one place. (Remember all those dial-up bulletin boards?) As few people wil have the time to read all of them, it is regrettable that the effect is to thin out the pool of experts. However, with so many specialist web pages findable by search engines, there is perhaps less need to ask questions. Chris |
