Antiques Roadshow
I was watching Antiques Roadshow (love that show!) recently and a
woman with a rare old LDS book was getting it evaluated by a so-called "expert". The book was over 150 years old and in fragile condition. The lout who was appraising it was putting his greasy hands all over it, treating it a bit roughly before telling her it was worth tens of thousands of dollars. Would it have killed that imbecile to put gloves on before mauling such a rare and valuable book? Sometimes I wonder about the qualifications of these so-called "experts". |
