Default Does this sort of note have a name?

The serial number on this brand new $10 American note is 10869801 so it
reads the same upside down as it does right side up. For the record, no I
don't think I have anything valuable and I'm not going to try and sell it to
some poor shmuck on ebay. g It's just a curiosity to me, and it's going to
end up filed away right alongside the radar notes that I've pulled from
circulation. I'd just like to put a name on it, if it has one. I'm familiar
with ladders, ascending, descending, etc. etc. but this is one that I
haven't heard of before. I gave the net a cursory search, but didn't find
anything along these lines. Thanks in advance.

If either the 6 or 9 is repeated as in 10866801 or 10899801, it will
be a radar. I'm sure you know what is a radar. Unfortunately, there is
no name for it. But it is still a good note to keep. After all, you
must have find it in the circulation. The value is at face value.
Maybe someone specializes on these type note for their collection. You
can sell it to them later.

I've heard them called a sonar note. Like a radar only different.

I did find it circulation...and it's going into the collection. I think it's
kind of neat. As for selling it, it can't be worth enough over face value to
be worth the effort.

Is a radar the same thing as a palindrome?

They are called Flippers - they read the same when flipped around.
