Label, possibly pre 1949
(top right of 4 leaf clover is Dutch East Indies)
"The happy station" "PCJ" (Peace, cheer and Joy)
other leaf is Madagascar.

Sir,

It looks like an ancient advertising for Radio Nederland World Broadcasting,
directed from the Netherlands to the various parts of the world: North
America, South America, Asia/Australia (not only Dutch East Indies) and
Africa.

The Happy Station Show was longest-running shortwave radio
programme, running from 1928 until it was cancelled in 1995.

It was broadcast first by Dutch (Philips Radio) station PCJJ
(renamed PCJ for Peace, Cheer, Joy) , and from 1946
by Radio Netherlands. Separate English and Spanish versions
were broadcast, in addition to the multi-lingual version.

It could be received all over the world.

The programnme featured popular music from Europe and
various other countries was mixed with vintage recordings
and multilingual chatter, switching back and forth between
English, Spanish and Dutch, by hosts including long serving
Eddie Startz and Tom Meijer each Sunday.

It became popular since it gave listeners a chance to travel
in their armchair during a period when international travel
was impossible for most people.

It also pioneered call-in shows, in both the English and
Spanish versions, during the latter part of the 1970s.

Here is a commemorative label for the sixtieth anniversary
of "The Happy Station" in 1088.

St Leonard is a Montreal suburb, so that fits.
