Retiree flushes cash down toilet
http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe....ap/index.html Flushed about $18,900 down and had another $17,300 to go! And this was in *cash* (well, German Marks) mind you! Steve Buy the book before the coin don't forget to *READ* the book after you've bought it! It doesn't do anything just sitting on the shelf (remove ATTITUDE to reply via e-mail) It's more than you think: http://www.premierpersonalization.com |

Actually that happened about two weeks ago but was reported (here in DE too) just today. And from what I have read here, the man was somewhat disturbed in other regards too. By the way, the last sentence of the AP article - "Europeans can still exchange the old money at their central banks." - is not correct. What you can exchange depends on country specific legislation. Christian What a strange word - retiree. On this side of the pond we would talk about a pensioner. -- Tony Clayton Coins of the UK : http://www.coinsoftheuk.info Sent using RISCOS on an Acorn Strong Arm RiscPC ... To hell with the prime directive, let's kill something. And on your side of the pond a "pension scheme" is something quite good, while in the USA "scheme" usually means something nefarious. *** Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com *** |
