STRANGER TO THE GROUND - 1st or BC?

I picked up a copy of *Stranger to the Ground* by Richard Bach today (Harper
and Row, 1963), signed on the half-title page. Thought it was a first
edition (price of $3.50 still on jacket, stated first edition on reverse
title page, no blind stamp on the back, no numbers in the back gutter), but
there is just something about it....for one thing, it's sort of "book club
sized" (6 by 8.5 inches) and the lower edge of the front jacket flap --
where they often put "Book of the month club" is clipped, and finally, there
is no headband.

Does anyone, by chance, have a first edition and if so, could you take a
look at it and let me know how your book matches (or doesn't) with my
description?
