Airmail stamps OK for U.S. addresses?
Is it perfectly OK to use a 40¢ "USAirmail" stamp for a domestic letter or
are they frowned upon except for international use? I don't want any picky clerks holding up this particular letter. The stamp is a "William T. Piper - Aviation Pioneer" commemorative, if that matters. Air Mail stamps are valid for domestic use. I doubt that any postal
clerk would notice the little airplane in the design that implies air mail use. Most domestic mail going any distance goes by air these days. |

Airmail stamps OK for U.S. addresses?
I've used them with no problems from US to US addresses and US to Canada
addresses numerous times within the last year. No problems at all. I have a few snide remarks for you. I still await the stamps of The Netherlands, your "source" is a bit sloooow. Yup. So far back into the woods they have to ship sunlight in. :^) I will reply, however hesitantly, with said snail mail address. I know Windows Clerk #1 will pass on plenty of junk mail my way! Was that a baby blimp or the Zepps? In either case, I'm interested. Even C1 - C6 would work fine as well. PS - I'm actually living in the "Nether Lands". ======================= Tracy Barber ----------------------- adirondack-pc ----------------------- "Freebie Stamp Project" ======================= |
