It was down this weekend for upgrades.
I don't know what they did but it takes a very long time for the pages to
come up.

Worked for me, but it was very slow at loading pages. But it did finally
get them loaded. About 1 minute on a DSL line.

Has anybody tried to subscribe to their newsletters lately? Entering an e-
mail address and clicking on the submit button on the subscription page
causes an e-mail to be sent to that address, with a link on it that must be
clicked to "validate" the subscription. That e-mailed link takes you to a
page that says you're not subscribed, and to click on another link to
change that. Clicking there takes you back to the original subscription
page. A complete circle, with the result of no subscription.

It would appear that the only way to tell them about it is to call their
800 number. How likely is it that the person answering will have a clue
about their web page?

(I tried this on Saturday, and again this evening...)

sometimes, when trying to track an order, you have to twy two times in
a row ... the first time typically times out and gives *no* output or a
generic error message ... the second time (clicking on the order
number) does the trick--i guess the database didn't respond quick
enough the first time and then the response has been cached for the
second attempt.
