Thanks !

Default NASCAR Question ?

are they "pit" passes or "garage" passes?
there's quite a difference...and it also depends on the track. cause in
phoenix, the guys who drive in the trucks and the busch series are WIDE
open and with your average pit pass or a mobil home infield pass, you
access is AMAZING...but if you're in l.a. pit pass only really gets you
access when the drivers all walk out to the track a little bit after
their cars have gone to the track and it's the same for every level of
racing.
a garage pass is a different beast...you are in the garages for all
the drivers, every single driver is going to walk by you all day long
and your access is AWESOME...it's can't be beat...but even that has
problems...
you aren't supposed to be allowed to ask for autographs at all (many
people do and and so few people actually have the garage passes that it
doesn't even matter). i had garage passes before and tony stewart
ratted me out and i had to go put my photos and helmets back to my car
(a long walk) before i was allowed back in...
there's another problem...there's a thing called the "hot pass" which
is extremely limited, you are only allowed in the garages for a certain
amount of time during the day,. with the hot pass, you can be there all
day...that one gets tricky too, you can go wherever you want with a hot
pass...
one more thing, you have to wear pants in the garages, no short pants
or open toed shoes.
thought i could help.

Default NASCAR Question ?

Just got my info packet yesterday for the race and we do in fact have
"hot passes" for the entire weekend. We have tickets for Friday and
Sunday, will I need to scalp a ticket to get in on Saturday or will my
"hot pass" work for that ??? Not looking to get a bunch of graphs with
my pass, a few nice opps would be cool..

Thanks !

Doesn't matter what we tell you... best bet is to call the venue and
ask because if someone here tells you one thing and you go and it's
something else... could be one pain!!! I'd call the venue to ask.

i've went to 3 races this year....and track by track, sue's right, they
could change the rules...
but you should have to buy a ticket for saturday...hot passes only get
you so far, you stll have to get in the track...
you can get away with buying the cheapest tickets available and do
ok...
if you read what i told you about the different passes, you'll know (at
least from my experiences) that you have the best pass available out
there...

one thing, track by track again, you may not be able to ask for
autographs at all in the garages...you can thank Tony stewart for that
one...there are some tracks that are real strict on this point..BUT,
you can go right to the track itself, hang out behind the individual
driver docks, and get drivers who come over and sign while waiting for
different things to change up (track conditions and all that) and every
driver walks FROM their car, back to the garage. so just about every
driver tried to sign (again, except tony stewart, and lately dale
jr)....

good luck..let me know if you see tony sign anywhere.

Mike, I worked the track on Friday and Saturday with our "hot" pass, it
was like shooting fish in a barrel. Tony Stewart signed 1 graph those
2 days that I saw and I got the opp (he wasn't happy about it). Now
I'm spoiled and want those passes again next year !
