ATB Silver Bullion Coins?
So are the mintages set for 33,00 per coin or any chance the mint will
make another run? http://www.moderncoinmart.com/cart1/...cat=210&page=1 They seem to have a decent price on coins that are at least slabbed for protection. |

The Mint made 60,000 of each of the 2010 ATB hockey pucks and barring changes to the law, won't be making any more. 33,000 of each carried no mintmark and were sold to SAE primary distributors under, shall we say, "product specific" conditions. The Mint still holds 27,000 "numismatic" copies of each that carry a "P" mintmark. It has announced that it is going to release these directly Real Soon Now. However, that too may require legislative action -- 31 USC 5112(u)(2)(B) states that the hockey pucks "may only be available for sale during the year in which such circulating quarter dollar is issued." There may be an overriding section somewhere else, but I don't know where it is. Expect the mintages for 2011 to be higher. At a guess, the 2011-??? issues will trade at or near spot, similar to the First Spouse uncirculated issues. -- Mike Benveniste -- (Clarification Required) Its name is Public opinion. The price for these alleged "coins" has been dropping by the week. Frankly, I don't think there are 33,000 collectors out there that want these things at anything other than close to bullion value. Silver is about $40/oz now and adding in a 10% or so markup, these things should be selling for around $220-$230 each. YMMV |

I terribly surprised that RCC hasn't yet mentioned that one of this forum's very most favorite coin dealers of all-time has been running a "want ad" for the hockey pucks in NN for the last couple of weeks. oly |

Speaking of our favorite dealers... Have you seen the 2nd rate crap Provasek is auctioning on eBay? What do you have against Provasek. His material is high quality and he has excellent feedback. But you lie about Israel and Jews, so why should we believe that you are anyone other than a SICK PERSON FULL OF HATE? |
