Can't they just steal it like they did with the white owned farms?

Maybe we could all pitch in and send them a few rolls of Charmin.

A number of the white farmers have moved to neighboring Mozambique
whose govt. welcomed them with open arms.

They are highly desireable because of their expertise and
understanding of modern farming techniques. The govt. sees
them as a key to increasing food production and turning around the
economy. They are letting them homestead thousands of acres of land.

Part of Mugabe's "land reforms" was giving much of the prime land to
friends and cronies. What land was turned over to "veterans" largely
went to seed shortly as they completely lacked the knowledge and
experience to make a farm work. Livestock were slaughtered and that
was it.

Many Zimbabweans were employed as hands on the siezed farms and lost
their incomes. The whole exercise is an utter farce and one would
think even the rich and powerful would have to oust Mugabe otherwise
they amount to princes of the wastes.
