Hi, Folks,

I have been receiving refund request letters from Stylophiles
subscribers for a couple of weeks now and it's been a mixed lot, but
not in the ways you might think. Only one person has been nasty or
curt. Most folks start with a note about how much they enjoyed the
magazine and how much they will miss it. Many have called Stylophiles
the best pen magazine they've seen. It's very nice to hear all that so
I wanted to thank you all for your kind words.

The most extraordinary letters, however, have been those that start
off with similar kind words about Stylophiles and end by saying that
the person doesn't want a refund, that he or she feels that the seven
issues sent were worth the price of the subscription. The kindness and
generosity of that gesture truly overwhelms me. I thank all who've
written but most especially those most extraordinary subscribers.

When we had to curtail publication, we offered refunds to those who
sent an actual letter by September 30th requesting the refund. We
offered those refunds as funds became available. I'm pleased to tell
you that the first batch of refunds will be in the mail within the
next seven days. Once again, thank you all for your patience.
