Default Kevin's IN PERSON 411....6/29

Senator HILLARY CLINTON made a stop in Southern California today to promote her
book, "Living History". The signing was scheduled to take place at 11am, and
was limited to 2 books per person. The first person in line arrived yesterday
before noon. I showed up this morning at 6am, and the line was around the
block. She was only scheduled to sign 800 books. At 2 per person, she was
going to see roughly 400 people. I ended up being #365 of 400. People that
showed up at 6:45 or later were shut out, and the havoc began.

Old ladies trying to cut in line, women screaming that it should only be 1 book
per person, people selling spots in line, and people selling their book
vouchers. Funny that the people doing most of the complaining were those that
showed up at 10:30.

Senator Clinton arrived pretty much on time, and ripped through the line,
signing all 800 books in just under 90 minutes. Each person had roughly 8 - 10
seconds with her, and she did look up to acknowledge people, and thanked us for
supporting her book tour. It was your basic assembly line autograph session.
That's it for now...

So in other words...no photo ops either, correct?

Thanks for the report,

Well, it could be worse, she could have simply pre-signed her books and then
did the old hand shake thing which she's done in the past. I even heard she
once did a pre-signing using an autopen.

You got that right, John. She had 8 Secret Service agents with her.

You
couldn't bring anything in the store with you other than your keys and
wallet.
No cameras, no cell phones, nothing. If you didn't follow the rules by

the
time you got to the door, they asked you to leave.

Kevin

Kinda takes away all the fun from getting the autograph, huh?
