Rowe CD100 Help

Thanks for the previous help. I finally got my jukebox to take
selections, pick up the CD, and put it on the player(cdm12). The spindle on the
player never spins and after 5 seconds, the mech. rejects it and tries it
again. Then rejects it again. I'm not getting any error codes at all. Does
anybody have any ideas what could be causing this? I checked the ribbon
cable that goes from the Mechanism Control Computer to the CD player with a
meter, and it checks good. Thanks.

If all the LED's on the power supply are lit, your CDM12 player could
be shot. I just replaced one that had a SHORTED motor. It was dragging
down one of the voltages. I replaced it with a new CDPRO player and
it's running great. Just for the heck of it remove your CDM12 and take
a sniff of it. If it smells burned then it's shot.

Power supply is good and there is no smell from the player. The
spindle on the player does turn freely by hand. Thanks for the
response.

Shorted or open motors won't seize the spindle.

I'd be plugging in another player to see if it worked, or try your
player in another machine.
