Foley gets a hall pass, Hastert, Reynolds, staff are in line of fire
It appears that the House "Ethics" Committee won't be doing anything
to Mark "Pedo" Foley (former R-FL), since they don't have any jurisdiction, with Foley having flown the coop. Now, the Democrats on the Ethics Committee panel have an "open ended" investigation, and Hastert's in the crosshairs, despite the attempts at spin and damage control. Note the financial connection between Hastert and Biggart, the senior Republipedo on the committee panel. I'm betting a 50/50 outcome, with no concrete action by the Committee, but Howard Berman (D-CA) is sure to get a lot of press on the issue, as will his fellow Angelino, Henry Waxman. The Republipedos finally find themselves with nowhere to hide, and the resurrection of the Ethics Committee (after Tom De Lay effectively had it killed for years) doesn't stand them in good stead. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061007/...y_ethics_probe Hastert goes down in flames, a babbling Henry Hyde (R-IL) takes over as Speaker (the House's functional equivalent of Ted "TOOBZ!" Stevens) and the Republipedo party goes into cardiac arrest. What a great time to be a Democrat! |

Time: Bush back down in the mid 30s. DeserTBoB wrote: Per a Time Magazine poll released today, Bush Bird's poll bounce is over....36% approval, 57% disapproval. This is great news but, after cheating in every election since 2000 do you think this coming election they will cheat even more with so much to lose? Remember, God is on their side and anything they do is OK. I have not heard anything about this election being safe/fair this time over the last ones. At the 36/57 split only 15%+ of the votes would need to be hacked to throw it again. -- |
