literary autograph miracle
I was shopping at Crescent City used books in New Orleans looking for a copy of
decline and fall of the roman empire. I couldn't find one. As I was leaving, I saw a Walker Percy paperback of Love in the Ruins and bought it for $2.50. Flipping through it in the hotel lobby - signed on the title page.
