Default Thank you BoxTurtle!

As the old saying goes, good things come to those who wait, and those
very same good things come in small packages. In this case the small
package is in the form of a 1883 one dollar gold coin that BoxTurtle so
generously sent me in the holiday gift exchange. I have posted pictures
of it on ABPN.
Although he had no way of knowing it, the only other old gold coin I had
was a 1883 $5.00 one so now I have both a 1 and a 5 dollar 1883 coin. I
wonder if I should take that as a sign that I should go for a year set.
Certainly fun to think about.

Thanks Bruce Hickmott (BoxTurtle) for the very nice coin. It is very
much appreciated.

Another Bruce,
Bruce Farley

You're most welcome. The 1883 $1 is on my list of coins that are
underpriced based on my experience of their rarety. I guess all the
late date $1G should be on it!

Once again, sorry for being SOOOOO tardy.

Bruce (Hopes the coin bought him out of 40 lashes)
