Railroad Zephyr Collectible

While cleaning out my mother’s basement, we came upon a small (3.5”
diameter) shallow metal … dish? Maybe the kind of thing one places
one's business card in?

It’s engraved on the top with “Zephyrus” “The West Wind” and a profile
of a train. Any idea what this might be? I’m assuming it’s related
to the California Zephyr, we live in Denver and have several times
taken the train to Glenwood Springs (a gorgeous route)!
