They're still being advertised on TV (regular, run-of-the-mill commericals)
from NCM for $19.95 plus shipping, limit five per customer, dealer prep west of the Poconos, your mileage may vary, no credit check, 0% financing, no payments until July 2005, et cetera. :-) I almost bought one of these for the Saint Pool Prize Pile until I found out it wasn't the proper size for a Saint (At the time, I didn't know the Royal Oak Mint made a decent replica). It says in the description of the piece that the price is $19.95 (as it was before -- introductory price), but on the order form it's now $24.95. As a replica, despite the less-than-straightforward way that it has been marketed (no mention of the word "replica" in its ads), it's not badly executed. But the best 1933 Saint replica is the one from Royal Oak Mint -- same size and gold-plated silver. |
