Hi, I'm curious how people would grade this coin.

There's plenty of meat there, and I could see this appearing in some flavor
of a PCGS VF holder. On the other hand, surfaces, color, and rims count for
probably half the assessment, and the surfaces of this coin are hard to
assess from a pic. It does appear that the planchet was striated before
striking, so that might be at least partially forgiven by a slabber.

That said, I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.

Looks better than a VF to me, Jim. Details are quite sharp for a Fugio
Cent. Unless the coin is nearly black, I'd say it would garner at
least an EF40 grade from PCGS and EF45 from NGC.

Tell ya what, I'll buy it as a VF and sell it to you as an XF. A win-win
scenario, if I ever saw one!

It's got nice surfaces, one of the reason's I got it. There was an
even nicer Nova but I've always wanted a Fugio. I like how everyone
talks gardes in terms of TPG :-) The universal standard remains
elusive.

I'd buy it as an EF if Jorge would part with it.

Nah, I just got it in Baltimore and will probably keep it for a long
time. Unless I upgrade along the way.
