For those unaware, the 2006 US proof sets are now available. I got an
email from them yesterday and placed my order today.

Received mine today from my subscriptions. No problems with these.

So does the Mint usually ship to subscriptions first? Ordered mine 8
days ago and they still say "In stock and reserved".

I also got my subscription on Thursday. Must have just been the time to
ship.

Got my sets today, but according to the "track my order" they are still
in stock and reserved, but not yet shipped. Don't believe everything
(or anything) that the mint tells you. Oh, and yes, they will still be
shipping my Franklins on April 30.

Mine arrived over the weekend and are just lovely. This is my first
look at the new nickel obverse, and it gonna take some getting used to.
;-)

Also, would someone please pass a law that there has to be a STEAM
LOCOMOTIVE on a US Circulating coin before anymore bison are used?
Thanks in Advance. ;-)

I don't particularly like that obverse either. But then it's not like I'll
encounter many of them, based on my experience with the other recent nickel
varieties.

Perhaps a compromise...

How about a locomotive hitting a bison?

Even better. How about a locomotive hitting a T-Rex eating a bison?
:-D

Jerry
Alan, you moved?

That's just silly. Actually, this whole thing has just gotten
silly...too silly. That will be enough of this. Right. Now, then.

Dang it all, you're right; I completely forgot about the whole dinosaur
angle. It worked for the Isle of Man[*], so it should work for us. A
definite hit coin!!
[*] Or was it Sierra Leone?
