Foley blames the bottle, heads for dry-out

Now it appears that Republipedo ex-congressman Foley says that "the
booze made me do it!" He's checking into a rehab center (shades of
Flush Limpdick) to go hide while the story dies down a bit. Meanwhile,
the Republipedo party, per AP and the LA Times, is sent "scrambling"
trying to find someone to run against the Democratic challenger, who
snap polls now show is carrying 75% of the district's vote. Florida
election law, some of the worst in the nation, allows a replacement
candidate to run under Foley's name...not that this would do the dark
horse any good at all! Can you imagine running for office under a
pedophile drunk's name?

Good point Bob and a refreshing post. Nice to see the other sides view

Not just my viewpoint, either. The state chair of the Republipedo
Party in Florida already says they've lost the district.

His label launched a HUGE "I'm sorry I got drunk" campaign to try to
salvage the second album that was due to be released early the next
year. That didn't work, so then it was "I was high on meth...", a
very common excuse, and they tried to turn it into an anti-drug
campaign, which also didn't work. If the news of the original faux
pas didn't kill his career, the horridly managed overexposure after
the fact, with talk interviews on country stations no less, surely
did. What's interesting is that whole incident seems well buried on
the 'Net...the usual keywords don't bring up anything, but will bring
up hundreds of listens for Michale Jackson and George Michael.
