Getting back to the state of the ng, I came in here in the first place
mainly to track down Noodles to see what other frauds he was
perpetrating on others. No surprise, he has a LONG reputation as a
cheat, liar and thief...typical attributes for many brainless right
wing morons I've encountered. I've made some good contacts regarding
8-trackophilia in here, which got me interested in doing some testing
on a couple of decks and several tapes, to sort of get a bead on just
how "good" the medium could be. (We already know how BAD it can
be...why not explore the observe?) However, there's not much interest
in the 8 track medium itself in here; it's mostly Noodles stirring up
crap, either through his attempts to defraud others or his fascist
political diatribes.

He started in on the right wing horse****, so I give it right back to
him...or did, until I got so sick of his low IQ rants that I relegated
him to the mighty kill file. Now, I just see the quotable text when
others skewer him for one thing or another. But, I do have to
agree...Noodles has made this ng fairly worthless for anything other
than toying with him and his frauds. He obviously doesn't understand
even the basics of magnetic recording, or basic electronics, lies
continually about his career credentials and espouses crap that 20
years ago would have landed him in what we call out here a "5150
hold"...72 hour observation for psychotic behavior.

Seriously, I'll take some credit along with Winnard, Dan Gibson and
many others for at least partially running his ass out of here. Note
there have been NO new postings for his "NudoFraud" products of late,
and his sleazeBay auctions have been dropping steadily. Either Ebay
or he shut down his "coolsitesnsounds" ID after the "So Wrong They're
Right" ripoff situation, and I know he's had some of those fraudulent
"misalignment tapes" back up on him like a ****ty toilet. Must HURT
to keep writing those refund checks to try to buy good feedback, eh,
Noodles? Add to that his bad "advice" ("drill out the rivet in the
RCA cart", "use an RCA pinch roller for Ampex carts"), and I can see
how he's giving this whole 8 track subculture thing a REALLY bad
name...nothing like what was illustrated in Russ' film, but rather, a
scam-for-profit internet operation that exhudes the stench of
capitalism when it should all be about good, cheap music and obsolete
technology.

I got into writing about my technical findings after settling on a
couple of Wollensak/Sanyo models, and many found the posts
interesting, but they just brought a barrage of CRAP from Noodles,
which would turn a technical discussion into a ceaseless thread of
personal recriminations, back and forth. What's really sad, though,
is that without Noodles as the prime target, NOTHING goes on in this
ng. Whether it was that was before Noodles or not, I know not, but it
HAD to be better at one time.

People (??) like Noodles are the fault of none other than Billy Gates'
commercialization of the 'net. Before that, idiots like Noodles would
never be found for long on Usenet (which Noodles STILL mistakenly
calls "goo goo groups" or some ****). Having these for-profit
corporate hacks provide "dumbbell access" to Usenet is almost a crime;
it lets all the morons in, and drives all the intelligentsia out.
Dumbed-down ISPs like AOHell and MSN are the key to getting morons
like Noodles on Usenet to poison groups like this, but, like Pandora's
box, the damage is already done and can't be reversed.

I still say the best thing to do to get rid of Noodles is to kill file
him into oblivion. A paranoid delusional like him will suffer from
the lack of attention, and will eventually whither away, off to go
scam and bother others elsewhere, hopefully on a dumbass' service like
MSN ("More **** for Noodles") or AOHell. Meanwhile, I've noted some
stuff about the vaunted Akai 8 track decks that sort of
reeks...they're shy of bass! But more on that later....

ballot issue. I think all states' populations should pass them. That
way, we could have dedicated psychiatric hospitals again, a GREAT
place to put chronic mental patients like Noodles, where they won't

Here in MD, they've virtually eliminated psych hospitals in favor of
group homes in the community.
The screaming sessions heard throughout the neighborhoods of some are
such a joy to listen to.
