Out side of the fact that nothing he said can be called "cursing", I agree.

"****" isn't a curse word?

No, of course it isn't. Curse is condemning something or someone or praying
for it's evil end.

**** is just ****.

Haven't you had enough karmic fallout for one week?

But what I want to know is this: If I bought something with frank and he
spammed me because we had an "existing business relationship" in his eyes(I
think its just a form of stalking)... does that mean I can send him spam
then... I mean, we did/do have an "existing business relationship" :-)

When one takes too much out of the karma bank, odd things happen like
NARU... I wanna see how much more withdrawling he does from the karma bank
before the insanity is over.

Bottom line: Frank spammed: he sent unsolicited, commercial emails
to former ebay buyers, in clear and direct violation of ebay's TOS, which

define such
contact as spam.

Which brings up something interesting: Shouldn't there be way for EBay
sellers to
let former customers know about their EBay auctions? Maybe having an
ebay mailing list feature built in to let former buyers know about their
auctions?

IMO, the Ebay search tool should handle this pretty well. If I'm
looking to buy a nice 1932-D quarter, and Mr. Seller has one up for
auction, I'll find it in my search. Otherwise, I don't care what else
Mr. Seller is auctioning on Ebay. And if I should happen to bid on and
win Mr. Seller's quarter, I wouldn't want him to email me whenever he
submitted more coins for auction. If I happen to especially like Mr.
Seller's stuff, I'm perfectly capable of following his auctions myself.

Americans are the people. English is the language.

There is standard English and there is English. The English spoken in
Britain is quite different from the English spoken in the United States and,
in some cases and words, may as well be another language entirely.

e.g. A boot is not what you wear on your feet.

Of course not. It's what a Scotsman sails in. What you wear on your
feet are slippahs.

This is indeed distressing. While I am currently in Nevada, I did
business with Frank about 30 years...since we were both teens...Frank was a
regular seller at R.E. Wallace's bid board in Fort Worth, then
after I returned from the Army, I bought from Frank at
Texas shows and from Causey's.

I am working on a PCGS set of MS65 Franklins. I sometimes
received an email from Frank when he had some of them in his
ebay auctions, so I think he was quite selective in who he sent
mail to. I appreciated it as a service.

If LOL still means "laughing out loud" why are you apparently
seeking humor in a person losing their livelyhood? The last time I
talked to Frank, he was making his living exclusively on ebay.
Taking the food off someone's table is not something to laugh
about.

Of course it isn't? You're just using one meaning of the word "curse."
A curse doesn't necessarily have to be a word that is aimed to put a
curse on you or as you say above condemns you and so on. It also means
"swearword" or "cussword." When somebody curses, typically they're
using foul language, not offering incantations or putting spells on
people. Curse words are commonly considered to be, among others, some
of George Carlin's seven words you weren't allowed to broadcast on TV
or the radio.

**** isn't swearing either. Swearing has to do with oaths...and who knows
what's meant by cussing, except for another misuse of "curse". "Booger" is
foul...gouging one's eyes out is foul..."****" is foul...but none of them is
considered cursing. Modern usage may have gotten sloppy enough that some will
call it cursing, but he meaning of "curse" is very clear. On a similar note,
I'm seeing "apostrophe s" after every word that writers don't know how to
pluralize, also. I'm assuming someday someone will decide that that's ok and
we'll have to accept it as "modern usage"...but writers are held to a higher
standard of grammar and puncutation than teenagers who try to put their cars up
"For Sell".

For that matter, George Carlin doesn't dictate word meaning. He merely said
you can't SAY them, not that they were curses. His famous line about the f
word not being a bad thing at all was true. When people say that to you,
they're not "cursing" you, they're telling you to have a good time! Some may
consider it foul language and I'll grant them the inflection dictated by their
personal experiences...but for most of us, it's still a good time.
