Default Rowe AMI Amp Help!

Hi. I hope someone out there can help me. I've put alot of time into
my juke, and have it up and running except for one little thing. I
can't get the AMP to work. I've found out that the amps that existed
in this model were tough to fix becuase the amp transistors will
easily blow, and there is no fix. I picked up a newer model and can't
find a pinout diagram or any information on what this belongs to. If
you could send me pinouts our let me know what model this receiver has
schematics for, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The model is 06-07438-03

Thanks,

Tom

I'm curious. What model AMI and what was the original amp model in it?

I just did a solid state amp for an MM3 (the 50 watt version). I've
found that lot's of the Seeburgs (with germanium transistors) are the
hardest to repair.

It's a rowe R-82, and has a r-2179a (65 Watt)amp in it. 1 of the amp
cards is bad, and the preamp needed a whole recap just to get the
sound up to some level to see what kind of condition the amp cards
were in.

I guess i should have clarified the no fix part by saying that the fix
comes at ~$60.00 a card, if you can find the transistors. Since they
are out of production, they are difficult to find.

I don't know what you paid for the newer amp, but in my opinion, it
would have been be a lot easier and possibly less expensive to repair
the original amp. If it's the one that came with the juke originally
(that amp number doesn't sound right?), it's not really that difficult
an amp to repair. Sorry I don't have all the pinouts you need to do the
swap. Hopefully the amp you bought is in good working order... and at
125 watts vs. 65 watts, don't crank it up and blow out your old speakers!
