If the date is worn off, they're worth about 7=A2 to 10=A2 (mostly for
use in jewelery). With a partially legible date, about 20=A2 each, and if the date is all there then about 50=A2 each. These figures are for common dates. If you need specific information, we need the date and the mintmark (look under the buffalo for a little D or S, no letter means Philadelphia). Most likely your coins are common but you might be lucky. HTH. -Steve |

Coin Saver Are you having a problem with your system? If the date is worn off, they're worth about 7¢ to 10¢ (mostly for use in jewelery). With a partially legible date, about 20¢ each, and if the date is all there then about 50¢ each. These figures are for common dates. For some reason when WEBTV posters use special symbols such as the "cents sign", they don't come through properly here on AOL. They generally come through as "A=2"....so Tim saw 7 cents as 7A=2, etc. ++++++++++ Phil DeMayo - always here for my fellow Stooge When bidding online always sit on your helmet Just say NO to counterfeits |

Although both of these coins seem pretty clear overall, I can't seem
to find a date on them or a specific letter. So I'm not totally sure what I have here. (Steven Preston) wrote in message ... Dates will wear off of buffalo nickels and the basic designs will still be seen. As Steve said in his post (below), a dateless buffalo nickel will still carry a small premium and the buyers will use them for jewelry. Normally, though, you will need some type of quantity to make a dateless buffalo nickel transaction worthwhile to the buyer. The date should be seen on the bottom of the Indian head side, just left of center. If there is just a smooth area there, the date is worn off. You might get some mileage out of the nickels as trick or treat items tomorrow night. Bill (Steven Preston) wrote in message ...
