Do you know see that there are people who aren't going to know what
"DETAILS" coin means same as they won't know what details coin means
whereas if you had simply used the term that ANACS itself uses, problem
coin, there would be no possibility of confusion. I'm not confused --
you know this well. But others could be. Yes, you don't used this
fabricated euphemism in your auction descriptions, it seems, just here
in explaining yourself.

That's even less logical. If there is a group of people who can most
easily understand what ANACS' [ "DETAILS" ] coins are, it is the
readership of this group. Anyone in this group who is interested
enough to look at the ads and sees the way ANACS grades the coins has
understanding.

There are many readers who have never used ANACS - or any outside
grading service - but they would be quick studies after one glance at
the ads in question where the term is prominently displayed. "Problem
coins" is not.

You're right.

You *continue* to use this term ""DETAILS" coin," which ANACS does not,
despite your continued rationalizing.

Go to ANACS' Web site. There is no "DETAILS" service listed, and your
term "'DETAILS' coin" is not used. Go to its services page. Under
"Problem Coins Graded" (!!!), ANACS specifies that through its regular
grading service it will grade damaged coins and give them a "detail
grade" (it also mentions "details grade"). At its FAQ page, after the
question, "Does ANACS certify 'problem coins'?" (!!!), ANACS uses the
term "'details'-graded coin").

All this is clear. The terms ANACS uses don't attempt to obfuscate,
unlike your term "'DETAILS' coin." It's all semantics, but these
distinctions are important, trying as they do to make something --
problem coins -- appear more desirable than they are. What sounds
better: "I sell "'DETAILS' coins"? Or "I sell problem coins?" Which is
clearer? Again, all this refers to how you explain what you do here.
