2003A Twos are flooding my area

The flood has arrived. Most banks are being weenies and not releasing the
new Holiday cash until the first week of December, but I got my branch to
give me a bundle of Twos. And it was a hybrid bundle: a striped strap of
2003 I Twos on the top and the other 9 straps 2003A L.

This happend when we transitioned from 1995 to 2003 as well. I shall be
offering them to a few regular customers of star notes and then follow up on
eBay if necessary. The 1995 star/2003 hybrids sold for $2588+ on eBay back
in 2003 (or was that early 2004?).

Pardon my ignorance, but what are so special about these 2003 $2 bills you
have. I have been ordering bundles of twos with the 2003 dates for all
this year.

Not everyone in every city or town can get their bank to order Twos. They cannot get new
uncirculated twos and they cannot get old circulated twos. They cannot get any twos. They
must order them from others and have them mailed to them because they cannot get their
bank to get them what they want.

Some people collect specific serial numbers and FRB districts. In that case, they look to
the web/Usenet/eBay to find what they need for their collection.

Star notes sell for MUCH more than regular bills. A full strap of sequential star notes in
the striped BEP wrapper usually sells for 3 times face value.

My daughter has just returned from the US with two $2 bills,
one being Series 1995 and the other 2003.

She had fun gettimg them from a bank - they had to go into the
vault to find them. I asked if she had spent any, but said not.

I have also acquired a
100 rouble Belarus note with an entertaining ballet
dancer watermark from her husband.

Useful having globe-trotting children.

I've used them numerous times in small eBay transactions for stamp
collecting with those outside the US - with their prior permission of
course. Everyone I've contacted about them has been pleased to have
something they seldom see - and that goes for many here in the US too!

WOW...... you can't order $2 bills from your bank. Sounds like the time to
find another bank to deal with. And what is all this fuss about the star
notes. Maybe I am sitting on a fortune here!
