Default Dangers of Fixing 8Ts

I almost set the house on fire Saturday while fixing tapes--I won't
elaborate, other than to say I pulled a real dumbass move--then I was
laughing so goddamn hard, I almost didn't realize that I hadn't quite
put it completely out.

Man, I hadn't felt that awake in years once I got everything squared
away.

I gave up on the flame-thrower for 8-Track repair years ago...it does
help with the glued together variety though...

Why are you telling me this? Call me when the house burns down.

What I've found best for those glued type carts, is a very sturdy
putty knife- not the cheap flexible ones for paint- but the thicker
automotive mechanics' type for scraping engine gaskets that that don't
bend. Push in on the seam, twist-"crack" the whole cart opens right up
and separates.
