Default 22,000 Postcards~Online Auction!

Another HUGE Postcard Auction from Ron & Linda Playle!
5,596 Postards Lots ~ over 22,000 Postcards from several
estates, postcard auctions, and outright purchases.
Go to http://www.playle.com/dealers/PLAYLE/

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Includes 3,145 lots, over 11,500 postcards,
from the Abe Samuels Estate!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last July we bought 14 box lots at the Abe Samuels Estate Auction. We
spent several months scanning and breaking them down into smaller lots
~ most from 1 to 6 postcards. Lots PLAYLE24404 through PLAYLE27548 are
from the Samuels Estate. Plus, there are over 2,400 more lots from
other collections and estates, about 22,000 postcards total!

Abe Samuels (1928-2002) was born in Western New York in 1928, and
would follow in the footsteps of his father collecting postcards and
ephemera throughout his entire life - apparently with no intention of
ever selling even a single card! A lifelong bachelor and freelance
commercial artist by trade, Abe made New York City his home where he
would spend most all of his free time hunting paper treasures,
eventually amassing a collection that would number over half-a-million
items! Abe had an unquenchable thirst for printed material of every
kind. He was a life-long member of the Metropolitan Postcard Club in
New York and actively attended every show and club meeting.

The lots are scheduled to close in numerical sequence every 10 seconds
from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time on Saturday Jan 24, and
9:00 AM to 4:33 PM CST on Sunday, Jan 25, 2004. There will be no
offline bidding - all bidding will be online on our web site only.

NO HIDDEN RESERVES, NO BUYER'S COMMISSION!

Here is a listing of all 5596 by postcard categories. The number in
parenthesis is the quantity of lots in that category. A lot can
contain from 1 card, up to a boxlot. There are MANY sub-categories
not shown, including categories for states, countries, etc.
